Discussion Forum Rules and Guiding Principles

PAA believes that all members and agriculture stakeholders have the right to their own opinions and beliefs in the practice of agriculture from farm to fork. To facilitate a conducive environment for discussions, we encourage all to engage in the different discussions with the rules and guiding principles in mind. Appropriate action may be undertaken for individuals who comment and post in a manner that does not align with the rules and principles.

  1. Respect

    • Despite our individual skills and expertise and various fields of agriculture, our knowledge and understanding is limited, thus, it is important to recognize, respect, and value the opinions and statements of others.

  2. Evidence-based

    • We believe in science and the process of gathering and testing evidence. It is highly encouraged that statements on topics regarding our practice of agriculture is grounded on evidence.

  3. Professionalism

    • All individuals interacting in this space are expected in a manner that respects our common agriculture profession; hence, discussions must remain in a professional manner (i.e. no ad hominem remarks).
