PMCP Honors PAA Vice President with Pest Management Award in Instruction
Dr. Analiza Henedina M. Ramirez, Vice President of the Philippine Association of Agriculturists, Inc. (PAA) and immediate past President of the Pest Management Council of the Philippines, Inc. (PMCP) received the Pest Management Award in Instruction during the 58th PMCP Anniversary and Annual Scientific Conference. The prestigious event was held last 27-31 July 2026 at the London Beach Resort in General Santos City.
The Pest Management Award in Instruction is conferred to members who demonstrate excellence in teaching and academic leadership through their impactful contribution in curriculum design and the advancement of agricultural education.
Dr. Ramirez is a Professor from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) - Institute of Weed Science, Entomology, and Plant Pathology (IWEP). This award is a testament of her continuing efforts in helping the next generation of Registered Agriculturists and pest management specialists to address evolving challenges in sustainable food production.
The Pest Management Award, which is categorized into four namely: Pest Management Award in Research, Pest Management Award in Instruction, Pest Management Award in Extension and Community Development and Pest Management Award in Business Practice, is a recognition of member’s outstanding contributions in solving the complex problems of crop protection.
