PAA CAR Chapter Leads 5th Local Convention and Regional Oath-taking for RAgr
The Philippine Association of Agriculturists, Inc. (PAA) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Chapter successfully led the 5th iteration of their Regional Convention and Oath-taking ceremonies for newly registered agriculturists (RAgr) last 17-19 March 2026 at the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, Magsaysay in Baguio City.
To officially open the program, PAA CAR regional chapter president Gerardo P. Banawa delivered a welcome speech. This was followed by a message of support from Dr. Fernando C. Sanchez, Jr., PAA national president.
In his speech, Dr. Sanchez was positive that the PAA CAR Chapter will continue to offer progressive activities to support knowledge exchange among researchers and extension agents working in the agricultural sector in the Cordilleras.
The event was attended by over 500 agriculture professionals from across the region. With the theme, “Advancing Agriculture for Resilient and Sustainable Food Systems,” the event featured plenary talks on the effects of climate change in sustainable farming, the role of agri-based technologies in agronomic productions, and agricultural extension programs to empower farmers.
The event ended with the newly licensed professionals taking their oath in the presence of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) CAR. This was followed by the induction of new members to the Association, led by Dr. Sanchez.
