Puerto Princesa LGU is the 2025 Institutional Kadiwa ng Pangulo Awardee
The City Agriculturist Office of Puerto Princesa Local Government Unit (LGU) was honored as the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐰𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐚 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐚 held in Pasay City last 2 December 2025.
Representing the Puerto Princesa LGU were Melissa Theodora U. Macasaet, PAA MIMAROPA Chapter President and Puerto Princesa City Agriculturists, and Supervising Agriculturist Daisy Garcellano-Bundal, who proudly accepted the award.
The Gawad Saka finalists represent innovation, resilience, and steadfast dedication to food security and rural development. Their journeys and accomplishments serve as a strong motivation in shaping a more prosperous and abundant regional development.
Gawad Saka is the Department’s highest recognition for Filipino farmers, fisherfolks, entrepreneurs, academic community, and institutions in driving agricultural programs and championing initiatives that support local livelihood. This distinguished recognition highlights the City’s exemplary work in enhancing local food systems, uplifting the lives of farmers, and contributing to local and affordable food production for the community.
